It’s my hope that through this event I speak with everyone on my friends list and give everyone an opportunity to speak with me directly on Facebook Live. As soon as I am able to generate enough capital from my book sell and my film and have my management team in place then I will start my business in the city of Chicago. My book is just the beginning it’s what I am trying to create within the community is what I want to be remember for. I will also declare war on this Willie Lynch mentality within the black culture so help me God.
What is GRCAM?
I created (GRCAM) the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement back in November 1991 on a site called Gopher because established black organizations in the city of Chicago refused to work with me. I created this virtual Christian socialist organization in order to help raise awareness about the genocide which is taking place within our inner cities in America, as well as for me to connect with other like-minded individuals who share my concern to form a legitimate coalition across the United States and around the globe for my cause Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos.
After 15 years of being rejected and ignored by established black organizations in the city of Chicago I decided to write and publish my story (The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America) second edition. In hopes of attracting 30 black middle class professionals and others within the United States who meet the criteria that I am looking for which are as follows: Investors, Business Partners, Christian Entrepreneurs, Social Entrepreneurs and Philanthropist.
I am also looking for legitimate Film Producers, Actors, Stage Managers, Grant Writers/Fundraisers, Technical Directors, Marketers, Accountants, Business Administrators, Social Workers, Financial Planners, Lawyers, Real Estate Brokers and Insurance Agents after they pass the criminal background checks, then I will discuss compensation and incentives with them behind closed doors. I have my articles of incorporation and my bylaws typed and available for my Nonprofit Cooperative. I also have my articles of organization typed and available for my For Profit Service Based Business.
Let’s face it black leadership in this day and age has failed black people and the black community. They are all about themselves and they are being funded by the same group of people who have created these social conditions the financial elites. For example, African Americans have been protesting and marching for equality and fairness in the United States for 52 years and still to this day structural inequality, institutionalized racism, police brutality and injustice persist.
In America it does not matter if you are a Black Christian, Black Muslim, Political Affiliation or Social Class if you make a wrong move you could end up dead by Rogue Cops. They will get acquitted under the law because the law was created by the same people who created these social conditions the financial elites. African Americans from the lower economic class who are suffering great harm from senseless violence, high unemployment, mass incarceration, police brutality, drug abuse, high illiteracy, inadequate healthcare and failing schools as a result of institutionalized racism how do it know because I experience it when I lived there.
In my book I provide a 21st century plan on how my Christian organization will help eradicate urban violence in the city of Chicago and beyond while at the same time meet the social needs of the urban communities and families that want to utilize our programs and services if given a chance.
I wrote my book for three reasons: One reason is to raise awareness about the genocide which is taken place within our inner cities in America. Another reason why I wrote my book is to promote my virtual Christian organization the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement and eventually turn my virtual Christian organization into a real business (GRCAI) the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago. Once I have my team in place and we find a location on the westside of Chicago and cover Austin, Garfield Park and the North Lawndale community and eventually expand to the Southside of Chicago as mention in my revised book.
GRCAI will operate under 5 separate functions within the African American community.
1. A social service component
2. A Spiritual component (optional for secular people)
3. A Political component
4. An Entertainment component
5. An Entrepreneur component
GRCAI will consist of a nonprofit cooperative and also a for profit service based business.
Under the For Profit Service Based Business, we will offer state-of-the-art recreational center that will offer bowling, high ropes adventure courses, captivating game rooms featuring the latest video and amusement, stylish billiards, energetic dance rooms and high-quality restaurants, various businesses, onsite childcare and an onsite music recording studio for our students making documentary films and stage plays. In addition we will host family fun activities including combination deals, birthday parties, weddings and corporate parties/events.
Under the Nonprofit Cooperative, GRCAI will be governed by an Advisory Board. GRCAI will be membership based and operated for the mutual benefit of our members. Also, any earnings we make are returned to our members in the forms of lower prices through our quality programs and services. Our members come first and we will be committed to providing trusted and understandable information.
Finally, I wrote my book in order to generate capital/seed money so that I can hire thirty qualified individuals to assist me with the daily operation of my business. The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago will help keep the black community informed by being truthful, provide well-researched and fact-checked information. GRCAI nonprofit will not be funded by industry or the government, rather by our for profit business as we hope to spread awareness about what’s taking place in our inner cities in America and create the new Black Wall Street in our underserved urban communities. My book is the foundation of my future Christian organization.
Part of my book is an auto-biography about my experience growing up in the inner city of Chicago from my youth to my adulthood. The second part of my book I discuss our past, present and the future of African Americans. I want to make Chicago a model first before we expand to 10 other cities throughout the Midwest. I also plan on having African Immigrants in America to assist me in expanding my organization to 10 countries in Africa. Those countries would be Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Angola, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Uganda.
We will go through the proper channels with their government to start our (NGO) Non-government organization. We will offer private employment to our clients and members based on our budget and our sponsorship. We will provide infrastructure for clean running water, agricultural technology to feed the people, and most of all help improve the African economy as well as educate the people about the problems with Capitalism and show them an alternative GRCAI. In time, we will expand to Brazil and the Caribbean Islands.
Everyone will be screen and must attend our mandatory orientation and sign the community pledge in order to become members no exceptions. No harden criminals, No active gang members, No urban terrorist, No pedofiles, and no half steppers allowed in my organization this is how I get down. It’s not my burden alone but rather a shared burden for I am just one black man with a vision and a plan, it takes a team to make a dream work.
The only thing which is preventing me from starting my Christian organization is the lack of manpower and the capital this is why I am on social media to get my message out to the public through my Youtube videos, my Social Groups, my Blog Postings, my online talkshow and now through my revised book and future film Hood Liberator Made In Chicago.
This is my contribution back to my community, society and throughout the African Diaspora.
