Hello Global Black Family, this is Emmanuel Barbee, founder and president of the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement. I’m excited that we are about to launch our first Black Empowerment film to put the Black World on notice. As a passionate Community Advocate for Black Americans and African Immigrants within the United States of America I am a firm believer in the power of Community Action at the grassroots level. I’ve taken the lead to mobilize all of my group members in both my Christian groups and my Secular groups from several social media sites to bring attention to a cause that’s deeply meaningful to me.

32 years of being rejected and overlooked by Black Chicagoans has not stop me from pressing forward in trying to build something positive for the African American community. Once we get our film project fully funded and made and the proceeds from the film starts pouring in then I will be in a better position financially to purchase property in Chicago, buy office equipment and hire qualified Black Middle Class professionals as well as hire qualified African Immigrants within the United States of America to assist me in building (GRCAI of Chicago) the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago. In GRCAI of Chicago we will host live events filled with Black Artists, African Artists, Black Entrepreneurs, African Entrepreneurs, Guest Speakers, Community Advocates, Community Activists, Poets, Musicians all coming together to amplify the voices of the Black Community and embracing the rich cultural differences among Black Americans, Africans, Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Brazilians and Afro-Latinos.

Purpose:

We host these monthly Facebook Live Events in order to raise funds for our film project. It’s an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to Freedom, Justice and Equality in America and throughout the diaspora as we remember the resilience and strength of our community.

Why it Matters:

For me, this cause is deeply personal. I’ve experience the impact of systemic inequality and injustice in the lives of Black Americans who are trapped in American ghettos and how it has affected the Black Family. I host my podcast as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for liberation and equality for Black Americans. By coming together in solidarity with African Immigrants, we can ensure that our voices will be heard loud and clear to the Black World.

Impact:

GRCAI of Chicago is a catalyst for change at the grassroots level. Through our collective efforts, we can raise awareness, foster dialogue, and advocate for Cash Payment Reparations for Descendants of American Slaves as well as a Anti-Black Hate Crime Bill which will address the historical injustices faced by Black Americans. Together, we can create a more equitable and inclusive society.

Call to Action:

I invite you to join us in making a difference. Your support whether through donations, spreading our video podcast, or participating in our Facebook Live events will help us amplify our message about the importance of this film. Together, we can honor the past, empower the present, and shape a better tomorrow for generations to come.

How the Donations Will Be Used:

All donations raised through our GoFundMe Page or our Paypal Page will be meticulously allocated to cover the necessary expenses to move our film into production stage including:

*Media promotion

*Travel and lodging for featured actors

*Security and other event-related expenses

We will maintain full transparency regarding the allocation of funds, ensuring that every dollar contributes directly to the success of this film project and the fulfillment of its purpose.

Gratitude:

Thank you all for taking the time to learn more about our cause. Your support means the world to us and is instrumental in bringing our film into reality. Team work make the dream work.
