(Laying The Groundwork For My Film Project & My Real Business GRCAI In 2019)
Dear GRCAM Group Members, Friends & Associates
I created (GRCAM) the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement on November 10th 1991 on a site called Gopher because I was dissatisfied with all of the division taking place among black people I wanted to start a new movement in Black America and throughout the African Diaspora in order to unite other like minded Progressive African Americans, African Immigrants, Afro-Brazilians, Afro-Caribbean. As well as Non-black sympathizers, all Christian denominations, moderate Muslims and secular people who are interested in solving black issues once and for all starting in the city of Chicago.
Another reason why I created GRCAM was because established black organizations in Chicago refused to work with me. My goal was to make GRCAM a digital platform to empower Black men & Black women who are having a unique experience in America.
Finally, I created GRCAM in order to help raise awareness about the genocide which is taking place within our inner cities in America, as well as for me to network with other like-minded individuals who share my concern to solve black issues at the local level one community one city at a time.
The only thing which is preventing me from starting my Christian business in Chicago is the lack of manpower and the capital this is why I turned to social media to get my message out to the public through my Youtube videos, my Social Groups, my Blog Postings, my online talkshow and now through my revised book (The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America) second edition and my upcoming urban Christian film (Hood Liberator Made In Chicago). This is my last attempt to try to do something positive for my racial group.
In my book I provide a 21st century plan on how my Christian organization will help eradicate urban violence in the city of Chicago and beyond while at the same time meet the social needs of the communities and families that want to utilize our programs and services. My book is the foundation of my Christian business to be (GRCAI) the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago.
After 15 years of being rejected, humiliated and ignored by established black organizations in the city of Chicago I decided to write and publish my story (The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America) second edition in hopes of attracting 30 black middle class professionals and others within the United States who meet the criteria that I am looking for which are as follows: Investors, Business Partners, Christian Entrepreneurs, Social Entrepreneurs and Philanthropist.
I am also looking for legitimate Film Producers, Actors, Stage Managers, Grant Writers/Fundraisers, Technical Directors, Marketers, Accountants, Business Administrators, Social Workers, Financial Planners, Lawyers, Real Estate Brokers and Insurance Agents. I have my articles of incorporation and my bylaws typed and available for my Nonprofit Cooperative.
I also have my articles of organization typed and available for my For Profit Service Based Business. Once I have my management team in place then I will start my Christian business (GRCAI) the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago.
I am just one black man with a plan and a vision it takes a team to make a dream work. GRCAM is a global community of thinkers and builders I need your help to move GRCAM from behind a computer into our urban communities that need our talent and skills. I believe this act of human collaboration across an open platform is essential to the low income African American community and our collective future.

I am in the process of turning my book into a feature film next spring God willing. I was inspired by the Black Panther movie which made 1 Billion dollars worldwide. I am asking all of my Christian friends worldwide to stand in agreement with me that my film (Hood Liberator Made In Chicago) would be a hit in both national and international movie theaters just like Black Panther in Jesus name.
Those who will be part of my film project will go down in history with me and Sister Rena. I am calling upon all of my Christian friends worldwide to pray that God would connect me with honest donors/sponsors who will help raise $400,000 to cover this film project so that I can hire seasoned film crew and my cast in Jesus name. It’s my hope that through my story I can finally reach the masses about the vision God has called me to do for our people who are trapped in American ghettos and who are trapped in African slums. 27 years of being rejected, humiliated and ignored by established black organizations in the city of Chicago has not stop me from sharing the vision my creator has called me to do.

This story focus on Emmanuel Barbee experience growing up in the inner cities of Chicago, and how he survived. The most important message in this film is his mission to start a new movement in Black America and throughout the African Diaspora called the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement for the digital age.
Emmanuel Barbee created (GRCAM) the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement back in November 1991 on a site called Gopher because he lack support from established black organizations in his community. He created his virtual Christian socialist organization in order to help raise awareness about the genocide which is taking place within our inner cities in America, as well as for him to connect with other like-minded individuals who share his concern to form a legitimate coalition across the United States and around the globe for his cause Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos starting in the city of Chicago.
He will promote an authentic form of Christianity that is Christian socialism. A Christian socialist is a form of socialism based on the teachings of Jesus. Many Christian socialists believe that capitalism is idolatrous and rooted in greed, social inequality, and institutionalized racism which most Christian denominations consider a mortal sin. We will focus on what we stand for: love, compassion, social justice, and liberation theology.
Jesus told us to focus on the lease of these in society according to Matthew 25:35–40. He also commanded us to be a witness to others not just for us to read his word, but to activate social change in the world according to Luke 4:18–19. Emmanuel organization will show an authentic form of Christianity by being committed to the healing ministry of Jesus by showing compassion to inner city youth and their families which will promote dignity to the people and community they serve.
Emmanuel is a professional blogger, an online podcast host, an upcoming social entrepreneur, a new urban author and the producer of this film. He wants give back to his community and make his organization to a one of the best African American business throughout the Midwest and in Africa. We will utilize theater, films and community outreach to bring racial groups together in a community that embraces similarities and fosters dialogue, understanding and acceptance.
This film depicts urban communities in America where people are deprived of luxuries, and in constant struggle to survive. The burden of his struggle falls on Emmanuel shoulders as he tries to protect his elderly mother in a hostile environment. His family lives in the midst of violence wrought by local drug gangs, who control the neighborhood. Children living in those communities have a bleak future attending a failing school system and trying to survive on a daily basis to adulthood.
Emmanuel does his best to get others within and beyond his community to work with him in starting a new movement in Black America which he believes will bring about real change from the bottom up. He has a hard time convincing others to join his cause “Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos.” His ultimate goal is to find thirty qualified people in Chicago or beyond to work with him in turning his virtual Christian organization into a real business in the community known as the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago.
The Low Income African American Community:
The inner city offers few productive activities for those, who are trapped in American ghettos. There are some community organizations which offers programs for troubled youths, but space and funding are extremely limited. Apart from playgrounds and a few recreational centers, there are few safe places where children can go within the black ghetto. Capitalism benefits from poverty stricken communities, because it creates a black market, such as the drug trade in order to entrap career criminals to be imprison in the prison pipeline capitalism 101.
Drug Gangs has a great influence on children in those neighborhoods. They are lured by the fast money as drug dealers or gun traffickers. Though Emmanuel never joined a gang, he occasionally found himself in a group of shady neighborhood kids, who committed petty crimes. Emmanuel steered completely clear of wrong doers, as he tries to be a model citizen. Emmanuel was chased out of his former community by criminals and street thugs during his street campaign.
He relocated to North Chicago and begin creating online groups in 1991. Emmanuel continues to share his computer knowledge and resources with people on his friends list and people in his social groups with finding college scholarships/grants; nonprofit grants; housing; legal services; create basic websites; podcast/webinars and employment on a national level all for free.
He is on 300 social networks and he correspond with 125,000 people worldwide spreading his vision and trying to convince others to join his cause. His story presents the other America. His book mentions that children as young as ten years old are already engaged in urban violence, and gang membership. There are several points Emmanuel mentioned in his film which are useful in understanding the social context of the urban poor in America.
First, his story addresses some of the causes of urban violence within the black community. Emmanuel points out that the youth are robbed of their innocence by their social environment. Their attitudes are shape by violence that they encounter on a daily basis due to neglect from the broader society which is why Emmanuel is pushing for new leadership in Black America through his organization.
He also plan on starting a new independent political party which will be compatible to the dominate culture. He wants the community to be an equal partner in his organization. Their first goal is to change the current gun laws and to work with other communities beyond the black community in order to build trust with the community he plans to serve. More resources are given from the federal government to combat international terrorism, because capitalism have an interest in protecting commerce more than fighting against urban terrorism which effects those who are trapped in American ghettos. Secondly, his film presents the case that children could succeed if given a chance. Emmanuel exemplifies this by excelling when given the chance to attend college. His story also reveals a gross violation of human rights, depriving most of the youths a bright future.
Established black organizations in the community and career politicians are supposed to maintain peace and order as well as look after the welfare of community residents are usually the ones caught up in corruption. For Emmanuel they are the ones largely responsible for the horrendous living conditions in the black ghettos of America.
Established black organizations in the city of Chicago has been a thorn in Emmanuel’s flesh. No black organizations in Chicago was willing to work with him. After 15 years of reaching out to black organizations Emmanuel decided to write and publish his story in order to recruit brave and smart middle class black professionals and others.
Emmanuel claim that black leadership today has failed and he wants to start new leadership beginning with his organization. He mentioned that African Americans have been protesting and marching for equality in the United States for 52 years and still black people continue to chanting no justice no peace no racist police are just slogans. Our focus is on serving African Americans from the lower economic class who are suffering great harm from senseless violence, high unemployment, mass incarceration, police brutality, drug abuse, high illiteracy, inadequate healthcare and failing schools as a result of institutionalized racism. Since 2001, over 4,000 people in Chicago alone has been victims of urban violence making Chicago one of the murder capitals in America.
This is why he wrote his story (The Solution For Black America) in hopes of attracting 30 black middle class professionals and others within the United States who have read his story and who meet the criteria that he is looking for which are as follows: Investors, Business Partners, Christian Entrepreneurs, Social Entrepreneurs and Philanthropist.
He also wants legitimate Film Producers, Actors, Stage Managers, Grant Writers/Fundraisers, Technical Directors, Marketers, Accountants, Business Administrators, Social Workers, Financial Planners, Lawyers, Real Estate Brokers and Insurance Agents after they pass the criminal background checks, he will discuss compensation and incentives with them behind closed doors. Emmanuel has his articles of incorporation and his bylaws typed and available for his Nonprofit Cooperative. He also has his articles of organization typed and available for his For Profit Service Based Business.
Since established black organizations in Chicago refuse to work with him to improve the inner cities in the Chicagoland area Emmanuel have decided to make his organization membership based and private. None of his members will never have to experience un-necessary humiliation just for trying to do something positive in the black community. Furthermore, he rejects being under the Red, Black, and Green flag they will create a new flag and separate themselves from harden criminals within the black community.
The only thing which is preventing Emmanuel from starting his Christian organization is the lack of manpower and the capital this is why he turned to social media to get his message out to the public through his Youtube videos, his Social Groups, his Blog Postings, his online talkshow and now through his revised book and film.
