This podcast is an extension of the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement. I created GRCAM because I got tired of all of the division among Black People. Pan-Africanism was not working for Black Americans, I wanted to start anew movement for Black People to unite us based on individuals who cared about solving black issues. I created GRCAM in 1991 on a site called Gopher. I wanted to create an organization that focus specifically on solving black issues in America. I wanted to connect with other like-minded African Americans, Afro-Brazilians, Afro-Canadians, Afro-Caribbeans, Afro-Europeans, African Immigrants, Afro-Latinos through out the Diaspora. I also wanted to build a bridge between the Diaspora and Continental Africans.
I created this platform for people on my friends list and people in my social groups in order to interact with them in real time. On this talk show we focus on promoting grassroots advocacy, black business, finance, health, community-based solutions, and Christianity which speaks to the interests of our listeners. This podcast provide insight on how our creative abilities can be used to create tangible change in the Black Community. These are not just online groups for me to sell my book but rather use my groups to build our own network so we can support one another online and in real life.
I give Black business owners free air time to promote their products and services, I give people in the faith community an opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and ordinary law abiding citizens an opportunity to share their special talents & skills to my listeners from the podcast community. After the show I offer my guest speakers an incentive by teaching them how to create their own podcast and Youtube channel to earn extra revenue. I also assist people on my friends list with creating basic websites, finding college scholarships/grants; housing & legal services all for free.
We will be hosting this podcast every Thursday evening until I am able to raise $500,000 for our film project entitled (Hood Liberator Made In Chicago:The War Against Willie Lynch Begins). We are trying to raise capital so that we can produce, promote and provide job opportunities for our young people through our future films and stage plays. The support we will receive will be historical, revolutionary, meaningful, and shall rival that of past black businesses. We are sincerely grateful to all supporters, no matter how big or small the donations are.
The proceeds from the film will put me in a better position financially to buy business equipment, hire qualified Black Middle Class professionals as well as to purchase property in Chicago and in Africa. (GRCAI of Chicago) or the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago will be in the business of creating satellite communities within the inner cities and offering such services as docu-dramas, short films, theater, photography, fine arts, music, poetry, literature, sculpture and dance for inner city youth. We also plan on offering African tours, showing our members how to apply for there vista/passports. And show them what we will be doing on the continent.
Consider becoming a monthly contributor to our Patreon Page or Paypal Page. We are excited to partner with Teespring on there we have a virtual store GRCAM merchandise such as a COVID Facemask, Coffee Mugs, Posters, Handbag and T-shirts. Tonight’s Topic: Holding On To The American Dream. The Attorney General Daniel Cameron a so called black man who is a Trump supporter we should not be surprise that justice was denied to Breonna Taylor. The settlement of 12 million dollars to the Breonna Taylor family, the mobilizing of the national guards and the protesters once again proves that Black life in America does not matter. What happen to Breonna Taylor is functioning exactly the way this system was created to do. We have been dealing with this for 400 years. This is another state sanctioned genocide. All I can say to Black America is get off the hamster wheel and create your African plan. Associating with criminals will make you an easy target by Rogue Cops and Urban Terrorist.
We have exhausted all of our options removing ourselves from America for me is the only solution. The financial elites are betting that Black Americans will not leave in the masses because many of our people are too Americanized and comfortable being treated as third and forth class citizens. They figure all Black People are going to do is march, protest and create hashtags because there is no consequences to prevent Rogue Cops from killing Black People in America they have qualified immunity.
We have to reconnect with Africa because we don’t have a nation behind us. Black People have been marching and protesting for 52 years it’s embarrassing. Truth be told Black America don’t want a solution ask me why? Because since January of this year I have launch my film project I have to this day less than $500.00 for my film project. I would not have to create a film in the first place if everyone one my friends list & everyone in my social groups would purchase my e-book for $9.99 and encourage there friends to do the same.
I remember watching footage of Dr. King and John Lewis when I was in high school. Our grandparents had fire holes sprayed on them, getting beat up by Rogue Cops for trying to vote and in many cases being killed for trying to end Jim Crow in the south. At that time there were only two options Black America was focus on under Dr. King’s camp was Integration and under Malcolm X camp was Separation. Both of those ideas were wrong because it did not look outside of America. Integration won which means a majority of our black wealth transferred to funding mainstream America. I reached out to other black Youtube content creators such as Antonio Moore founder of (ADOS) American Descendants of Slaves, Tariq Nasheed founder of (FBA) Foundational Black Americans they both are doing the same thing trying to make a name for themselves. They both have big egos and want Black People to stay in America and fight. I also reached out to Jason Black creator of (The Black Authority) and Phill Scott creator of (African Diaspora News Channel).
According to Dr. Amos Wilson “Only when you look at yourself as a nation can you change things.” The black middle class wanted to discredit Liberia & Sierra Leone as an alterative to America. It was proven you could leave America & build a life in Africa. In 1878, George Washington Williams and others left South Carolina for Liberia. Our ancestors had the courage to take there destiny into there hands when they returned to Africa. Liberia was the first black republic. It was created by free black slaves who were determined to control their own destiny. None of the Pan Africanist said anything negative about Liberia. Liberia is a success because it’s ours. When American Liberians showed up they created a stable democracy that last for 160 years. They bought economic prosperity, built infrastructure in other words they had created a solid system of governance.
Like it or not there is going to be a migration from the Diaspora to Africa. I believe a majority of Africans will be happy but a small percentage that are exploiting Africa will not welcome us. The Diaspora is a viable option for Africa to become free from economic strangulation. The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute will make sure that there will be a balance of power between the Diaspora and Continental Africans. The reason why Africa is in the current condition that it is in because of corruption and exploitation. GRCAI will promote repatriation among the Diaspora and encourage cooperation among Continental Africans so that we can resolve issues in a constructive manner. I am done with my presentation now I am opening the virtual phone lines for Q&A.
