(GRCAM Film Project)
The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement has been on Facebook for 16 years. Our purpose was to recruit other like minded Black People from around the globe to join our Christian groups and our Secular groups in order to network and solve black issues throughout the African Diaspora.
(Hood Liberator Made In Chicago: The War Against Willie Lynch Begins)
Emmanuel Barbee founder and president of GRCAM wrote and published his revised book in 2012 yet his book has barely sold so Emmanuel decided to take the initiative by enrolling in film school to learn the ins and outs of becoming a film director and a producer. He completed his training from Chicago Film Makers. He learned how to write query letters, business proposals in order to solicit Angel Investors and Sponsors who would invest $400,000 into his film project. The funds will help put Emmanuel in a better position financially to hire qualified film crew such as Sound Technician, Graphic Designers, Assistant Director, Director of Photography, Camera Assistant, Gaffer, Hair & Makeup Artist and Production Assistant and of course quality Actors. The proceeds from his film project will go towards buying business equipment, purchasing property and hiring my staff so that I can launch my Christian business (GRCAI) the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute. It’s important than ever that we have smart leaders in the Black Community who understand the importance of technology, modern organizing and the importance of gaining capital to achieve social justice.
The primary goal of the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute is to teach financial literacy, investing and promote Black entrepreneurs in order to deal with the economic disparities in the African American community. The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute will serve as a beacon of hope for the Black Community by establishing a national brand that stands for financial literacy and strength in African-American communities.
GRCAI will provide innovative products and services to fulfill its community development mission in the Black Community. It’s our hope that GRCAI will be integrated into the social and economic fabric of the Black Community from nonprofits, small business, affordable housing, etc.
GRCAI plan on building an international brand through many innovative initiatives including: online businesses, film, stage plays, providing extensive financial literacy training to urban communities including offering Money Smart Workshops on budgeting, credit and promoting the importance of savings in an effort to build wealth and encourage home ownership.
